Which Water To Drink? How to choose Water to Drink

Water is an essential element for health and wellness, although we often do not realize how valuable this good is.

The role of water in the body

Mineral salt in the water

Mineral salts are so important for the human body that they are called essential elements. They are classified in micronutrients (calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, sulfur, and chlorine) and trace elements (iron, copper, cobalt, manganese, molybdenum, iodine, selenium, and zinc).

Mineral waters are rich, but not all of them in the same way, so it is essential to know them to understand which to drink, depending on your needs.

  • Baking powders are perfect for those suffering from gastric hypersecretion and certain types of kidney stones.
  • The sulfates are slightly laxative and indicated in case of digestive insufficiency.
  • Chlorinated are purgative and have a balancing effect on the intestine, biliary tract, and liver.
  • Calcium acts on the stomach and liver and is particularly indicated during growth, pregnancy, or menopause and older people since they help prevent osteoporosis and hypertension.
  • The magnesian relieves stress, helps prevent arteriosclerosis, and promotes the proper functioning of the nervous system.
  • The fluorites strengthen the structure of teeth, prevents tooth decay, and combats osteoporosis.
  • Ferruginous cups help with anemia and are indicated in iron deficiency or exceptionally high requirements such as infants, adolescents, and pregnant women.
  • Acidity, such as natural effervescent, is suitable for those suffering from gastric problems.
  • Sodium supplements salt loss during sport.

Sodium powders are often inserted into a low-sodium diet or aimed at fighting high blood pressure. However, much of the sodium ingested results from foods.

Water for every age

Different water corresponds because not at all stages of life do we need to integrate the same elements into the body.

Children are better off drinking medium mineral water rich in calcium, magnesium, and fluorine; to adolescents with medium mineral water, calcium and magnesium bicarbonate, and to oligomineral and middle mineral adults on lifestyles. For pregnant or menopausal women, the idea is instead concrete water.

The elderly, finally, it is first and foremost important that they drink even when, as is often the case, thirst is not felt. More specifically, it is better to use calcium water and magnesium sulfate.
