Combining Food: The Benefits and Why it Works

by | May 24, 2021 | Diet | 0 comments

Combining Food is such a system that provides that some foods can not be mixed.

If a person eats indiscriminately, mixing carbohydrates with proteins or hard-to-digest food with easy-to-digest food. It leads to:

  • disorders in the digestion of food
  • stagnation of food in the gastrointestinal tract the
  • occurrence of rotting processes the
  • occurrence of intoxication of the body
  • and as a result, the emergence of diseases

The Science of Combining Food

The origins of the science of Combining Food were still ancient laid in legal medicine. And they became widespread somewhere in the middle of the 19th century.

At the beginning of the 20th century, this became a very popular trend. and based on the then-existing ideas about the physiology of nutrition about the structure of foods. (or rather, about the content of various substances). It was suggested that the foods should be classified into several types, these are:

  • proteins
  • fats
  • carbohydrates
  • starches
  • fruits
  • vegetables

And it was also proposed to classify the foods according to their acidity into:

  • neutral
  • alkaline
  • acidic

Well, it was assumed that for each type of food, different enzymes are needed.

Acidity

The different acidity of the foods also affected the work of the enzymes. And their rate of digestion. Well, accordingly, it was also assumed that people during their evolution never ate mixed food. That is, they could eat either split fruit, split meat, or split grain. and they were all in good health. and with the advent of civilization, when people began to eat:

  • steak with potatoes
  • pizza
  • hamburgers
  • various macaroni
  • cheesecakes with powdered sugar
  • and all that.

It is naturally a blatant outrage. In this case, the enzymes in a person will rise, that is, if a person eats mixed food. Then the gastrointestinal tract will stop. Because those foods are easily digested, and foods will inhibit them in the gastrointestinal tract. Those foods that require longer digestion moreover, different acidity will lead to different unfavorable conditions for the operation of other enzymes. It will also lead to stagnation of food in the digestive tract.

And finally. Mixed food requires several enzymes to work simultaneously. For example, enzymes that break down protein, fat, and carbohydrates. And this is all very bad because together, these enzymes will not work. And all this will lead to rotting and to severe consequences.

The Paradox of Combining Food

But the paradox of different meals is that. Although, at present, all the physiological assumptions that were put forward a hundred years ago turned out to be wrong, there are no severe changes in the gastrointestinal tract. However, this Combining Food system does work. people really become first:

  • ease after eating
  • there is no bloating, for example, some discomfort
  • begins the process of losing weight
  • begin to feel better
  • minimal diseases

Research

Although there is a single study that people who eat Combining Food are not different from people who eat mixed food. Suppose you put them on the same number of calories. Then none of the groups get any advantage.

It’s like, yes. Why? Because from the point of view of physiology, it is our body. We’ve always had a mixed diet. for example:

  • beans are a mixture of carbohydrates and protein
  • grains, there will also be protein and carbohydrates
  • starch in meat, there is both protein and fat

And that is why this situation is happening. When it is claimed that people ate refined food separately, not always it is not with me. since all the same, there will be a mixture of proteins, carbohydrates, and sometimes fats, depending on what you eat. So our enzyme system is perfectly adapted to this.

Rotting

That is, the digestive processes can be slowed down, of course, when you eat mixed food. But the rot will not come. For putrefaction to occur, bacteria are needed. And there are no bacteria in the stomach. There is an acidic environment. and bacteria in the small intestine, too. As a rule, there are no (or rather very few). Because when they are there, it is already a syndrome of excessive bacterial growth in the small intestine. And most of the bacteria are found in the large intestine. Where the food already gets sufficiently digested. That is, practically, there is already no digestion. There are already processes of working on fiber, water absorption. And there are already really bacteria doing their job.

Therefore, concerns about the fact that the enzymes will not work. They will work even with mixed food.

Fears that this will be a disturbing acidity, nothing like that either.

The stomach will perfectly regulate the acidity of the mixed food. And in the small intestine, the intestinal juice will also perfectly regulate the pH.

The benefits of Combining Food

Nevertheless, there is a massive benefit in combining food nutrition. here is even take these principles:

  • that fruits should be eaten separately, on an empty stomach
  • dairy foods should also be eaten on an empty stomach
  • you can’t mix different types of protein
  • you can’t mix protein and carbohydrates

These are generally very simple and fairly easy to fulfill requirements that are clear to people.

As a result, if a person begins to act according to these rules. then first it stops:

  • eat much bad food.
  • Ceases to use confectionery foods.
  • Fats with starch
  • eat fatty meat foods with fried potatoes.
  • Eating hamburgers.
  • there is ice cream
  • and so on

That is, when we switch to combining food, we voluntarily or involuntarily cut off a whole layer of unhealthy food. It is the first positive point.

The second positive point. A person at least somehow begins to realize what he eats if he ate mindlessly before. Now a person starts to think that this is not possible with this. It is going to contradict. And the result is that. people start eating separately:

  • fruits
  • vegetables
  • meat
  • buckwheat

An essential plus of Combining Food

And finally an important plus for those people who have:

  • disorders of the gastrointestinal tract
  • irritable bowel syndrome
  • or any other phenomena that we call dyspepsia.

If you ate half a kilo of sausage, then cheesecakes, still loaded with some ice cream, and then ate the fruit. The stomach can swell up, and the person will be very bad, and here is for some people who find it difficult to tolerate large amounts of food. Combining food is, well, just salvation. Since they begin to feel:

  • lightness
  • they start to understand that you have eaten some food, you have well absorbed it
  • no bloating
  • no disorders of the gastrointestinal tract

It allows you to be even more selective about your diet. Exclude some foods that you do not tolerate, for example, because you have to bloat. And this also has a good effect on the quality of life. Why not? It is a very useful feature of a combining food supply.

And therefore, although combining food does not have a physiological basis. In the light of the theories that were previously proposed. Based on a 100-year-old idea of how things work. However, combining food is a style that works. And which can be quite easily put into practice. Therefore, this style can contribute to your health.
